Hooked up my trailer for the first time to my 1997 300 tdi auto Discovery 1 for the first time and discovered no rear blinkers working on trailer. Checked car trailer plug and noticed low voltage for blinkers. I live in Australia. Can any one tell me why I have low voltage please.

Most likely a poor connection (which would include corrosion) in the circuit somewhere.
Have a look at the ETM, that will show you where all the connections are located.

Unless you have something exceptional you don't really need that. I have my disco wired for my flat bed trailer and has no trouble powering the indicators, tail lights and 4 side marker lights. I just use a converter, not powered, to go from the disco lights to the goofy common circuit US trailer lights.
