Carpet or No Carpet in Truck?

The vinyl floors seem to get scratched easily, which makes them look dirty all the time. Unless you are the type to get mud and grunge everywhere, carpet and weather tech mats will do the same thing and look better in the process.

I don't understand why any vehicles have carpet. It's not like your laying on it playing with your kids or walking around barefoot in a bedroom. I've ordered 3 brand new trucks in my life, vinyl floors and seats on them all.

There is only one reason I get carpet in our area. Humidity. Moisture gets trapped under the vinyl and and rots the floors. You never see it with carpet as it breathes. Other areas this isn't a problem, but it is here.

I have a '22 F350 that I ordered with vinyl floors. I have Smartliner floor liners on top up front and a Weathertech liner in the rear. At least on my '22, the clips on the actual vinyl floor were still there to attach a mat on top. Not sure if trim level matters - mine is a Lariat but wonder if XL/XLT get a more basic vinyl.
