CB Radio Opion

Angusdevil,

That's exactly why I want the outside speaker/horn, if in the middle of the night there is a flash flood alert or tornado, I want to know about it.

With the outside speaker, is the alert tone loud enough to wake you up?

Alan

It's pretty darn loud. As for waking you up... how heavy do you sleep? :sombrero: I sleep HARD so not a lot wakes me up. My alarm can go off for hours and it doesn't even phase me. For most people, I think it would wake them up.

Just here...
Not really a CB radio nut after I switched to ham, but I must say the wx75 is a great radio for limited space say on jeeps. It performs great I love the weather ch functions a must while offroading. And yes I do have one for trail comm as well as ham. Great little radio and would recommend as one to look at.

How is it? I was looking at picking one up as I dont want a bulky unit in my truck and will only be using it when on the trail with other trucks, read rarely, so a hardmount unit is a bit overkill.

I played around with it last night (have not installed it but had leads going to the battery and a cable to the antenna), very happy with it.

Only negative is there are A LOT of buttons on the handset to get used to.

Far cleaner and crisper than my old setup, i don't know how much has to do with the new unit vs installing it better this time around.
