Chainsaw power head soft weatherproof cover?

I just mounted an aluminum chainsaw scabbard to the back of my trailer:

It works pretty well and places the saw readily at hand, but I need to come up with a solution to protect the power head of my Stihl WoodBoss from forest road dust and rain. Has anyone seen a waterproof padded soft cover that will protect the engine during transport? I can't use a conventional hard plastic chainsaw case.

My wife's sewing machine is tits up, or I would just make my own.....

Thanks for any suggestions.

OK, thanks. The Forester will work, but I will have to cut off the extension that covers the bar. The hard scabbard I have clamps down onto the bare bar and chain to secure the saw, and you can't fit a piece of fabric in there too.

Well, maybe you could, but it would get torn to shreds pretty quickly.

Could you use a gear bag/stuff sack made of nylon? It wouldn't be pretty or padded, but it would keep the water and dirt off......

Don't worry about it! Chainsaws are very tough. Well, Stihls are anyways. I leave mine out all the time. :) My 361 has been in the back of my Rhino for three years.

The blow-molds are usually 2 parts: bar and motor. Just use 1/2 the case?

Would be better protected if the off chance the scabbard didn't hold and the saw went bouncing down the trail.

Stihl makes and awful good one, the clasps haven't broke off mine, and I abuse the heck out of it.

Too bad they don't stand up to being driven over. Someone cutting wood with us "helpfully" set my 075 right behind the passenger side front wheel of my dad's pickup years ago.
I still remember the "crunch" sound. :(
