Changes to the Expo Ham Radio Net?

I'd love to try this, but I run a simple TD700 Kenwood in my rig...and I am still farily new, so I still am learing how to get onto these things...or even if I can.

I will be on for this...
Sorry we couldn't get on IRLP from the Continental Divide Expedition, knowing where a repeater is and then trying to hit it when you are also on a remote backcountry adventure doesn't always work to plan.
I am looking forward to making contact with anyone who is on air.

Wow!

Due to intense lighting in the area, I'm not sure if I'll be on the air tonight - we've got a big storm heading our way...

If it lets up, I'll see what's happening on the local node on Sunday night!

I just disconnected from the Western Reflector...
I wasn't able to get connected until about 1945 due to repeater issues and my radio having operator issues.
I had changed a bunch of things for my last trip and needed to find the manual to fix them.
But at least now I have a new repeater in Scottsdale I can hit and it has Echolink also that opens up some other doors.

Thanks for trying a Sunday night even though I missed everyone. I will hardly ever be able to make a Tues night but I will try for any Sunday I can.

Are there any other 4wd or such net's we could join up with to increase audience size or get more folks some practice?

Ack.. missed that you guys were even trying tonight! I need to watch more closely (or lance needs to remind me out of band ;-)).

Lance, every weds night they do the virtual jeep net, but it's local only currently on shaw butte.

Geez...I just now get into the thread! I was driving up with Tacozona from Jerome at about 1900...doh!

I was all set for this Tuesday....:o

Looks good for Sunday nights - there was zero traffic on both my local repeater and the Western Reflector. I called repeatedly to see if there was anyone using the node at that time, and got no replies.
