Excellent write up. The scorpion reminds me of the ones I see out at my moms house in Bullhead City, Arizona.
I was hoping to go on an expedition in Arizona this winter, before I have to go back to work.

If it hadn't have been Bob's (BlueHZT60) meticulous planning, maps and his PC, we'd have been lost for sure. Every day was full and exciting! It is my highlight trip of this year so far! I'd go trailing with this crew any time again! Superb trip!

Wow, Martin thanks for sharing. It's funny how some will look out over areas of the Great Basin and see only miles of Sage, and it does nothing for them. My heart ached looking at these fotos..You even got to encounter Mormon Crickets...I've seen them once, and have heard some crazy tales...But never have seen them as in your pics. Awesome trip!

Great write up and pics, right in my back yard, I have been to or recognize most of them, but I learned of some new ones. Thanks for that.

And yes you experienced the mighty Mormon Cricket, they can turn a road to ice when enough of them are crossing and get smashed. You have to be especially careful when on a motorcycle. Also, they are a bear to wash off of your vehicle once they dry. Good thing they don't fly.:sombrero:
