Chest Style or Front Open Fridge for Van?

My Waeco CR-1065 AC/DC didnt have a fan from the factory.

I integrated ventilation into the cabinet it is installed in, and added a fan.

Its a simple ultra-quiet 3-speed CPU fan, set on the slowest setting, and wired into the fridge circuit to kick on with the compressor.

The cabinet itself is insulated as well, so it is about as efficient as you can get.

Does anyone here have any thoughts on integrating a National Luna fridge into a bench seat. I'm in the early stages of planning my Astro interior and I was thinking about building a bench the same height as the fridge and making a cushion to snap onto the lid. I sold my last National Luna fridge with my jeep and haven't bought the new one yet, so I don't have one to look at for reference. I feel like this may be the best of both worlds as far as chest vs. upright vs. space goes. Any National Luna owners out there think this is a bad idea?
