I forgot about this thread, was looking for other Chalet images in a Google search tonight and the photo of this #0058 Chalet with its buckled hood in the first post was in the search results. I can update its travels around the country: The last I saw of it in Reno Craigslist ads was one in mid-February 2018, the price had dropped to $12,500. It re-emerged in a Black Hills Auto Auction in the last day of July 2021 with a repaired hood, but the auction website required a login to see its final price. Eighteen days later, it popped up in a Newcastle, Wyoming classic car dealer lot listed at $39,900, and was unsold all the way up to Jan 26th when it sold at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction for $30,000. It's since headed back far into the midwest, where the Mankato MN classic car dealer has almost doubled the price.
