Chevy Express AWD

Hello.
I recently bought a 2014 Express Awd cargo van with 92,xxx miles to convert to a camper, and I’m trying to get some servicing done. I recently drained the Transfer Case, and filled it back up with the amount I drained (just over 2quarts). This did not cause it to spill out the fill plug. I believe that common practice is to fill everything until it drips out the fill plug. Any advice? Should I just fill it until it spills? No harm?
Sorry if this is not the best place to ask.
Thank you

Somewhere I recall a GM service bulletin stating that the transfer cases in the early vans were underfilled and should have a extra quart added to them during fluid changes. I'm sure you could find it with some digging.

Anyhooo I have always filled my TC until it spills out of the fill plug and it's lasted 175k thus far. Showing no signs of failure despite oversized tires for the last 100k.

Yea I read a thread about that. I think they even added like 2qts extra.
I’m going to change the Trans fluid by this monday and then open the TC while level and if it doesn’t spill or right at the plug, I’ll just fill til it spills. Thank you

Got the bolts out the trans pan & almost all the fluid dripped out, but cant get the pan down. The muffler is in the way! Do I have to disconnect the muffler?
