More parts arriving, today Rokmen gas tank skid, later today Novak t-case shifter. Later this week POR 15, fuel/brake lines & hoses, tank straps, fuel filter ....

Then the heavy work begins swapping axles, suspension, t-case, prep & POR 15 frame before installing new lines/hoses.

Simply Seductive well if you have ever done conversions of engines, transmissions or transfer cases. Should no matter how twisted up will shift the transfer case I'm swapping in a NP231 TeraLow with added 2 low.

Do you have the small tank? If so are you going to mod it to be the big tank? ie mod it to allow it to be full?

I had a 97 TJ four banger and it was alright but man she was not happy on the highway.

I have standard fuel tank, this skid gives 1.25" more ground clearance plus a bit more clearance for rear axle... I thought of the ExPo friendly GenRight but can't justify to $$$

I'm trying to keep weight down and when I add more that its were it counts. I'll start axle swaps soon so upgrade to Dana 44, 4:88 gears & lockers, realizing she will never be to fond of the highway. When its tranny does blow up, being the 2nd worse jeep transmission an AX5 I will probably upgrade engine/trans.

She got some new eyes this morning that were Hump N Bump raffle prizes. Really like the Truck-Lite LED headlights but sure glad they were free.

Piddling on the WJ, YJ & TJ today after it dumping 8"s of snow last night, so it is to cold for POR-15 on chassis.

Refinished & recycled rockers from buddy Mac's 1st Rubicon plus HF antenna installed.

Piddling around today since finally got some spring weather and pleasure doing test drives with sunrider flipped back.

Finished installing rockers, replaced rear brake line with nice stainless one plus CB install. Not the greatest CB rig but suits my needs also saving cabin space for VHF/UHF/HF radios.

Frame repair painted with POR15, will do front & rear sections of the frame when I swap axles/suspension.

Figured I might as well paint T-Case skid while I had it pulled.

Rokmen gas tank skid also with 1st coat will get installed when I swap out rear axles/suspension.

I should be picking up Jeep #13 later today, decided to have local shop install new M.O.R.E. 1" lift motor mounts with torsional rubber I expect it to vibrate like an old Harley. I'll take a short break from this jeep while I give the 1995 YJ & 2001 WJ some needed attention. Plan on cleaning up electrical & paint to match half doors on YJ. The WJ I'll be redoing a dozen year old Teraflex lift kit by replacing worn out control arms with new units from Rusty's upper & lower arms resolving problems never addressed by Teraflex - could not set rear driveline angles properly with it's Tom Woods SLE/CV driveshaft.

Out tooling around and ran across NEMO's very well kitted AEV/Hemi JK with Adventure Trailer, sure makes my jeep and its 33" tires look small.

Loving your build.

When I was Jeep shopping, two sides of me clashed... buy used and upgrade away, or buy brand new and move slow.

Brand new won out in the end, but I often wonder where I'd be in a build if I had decided on a TJ/LJ/XJ base instead of my Rubi.
