if it passes the test. those donuts will be put in the oven :)

and may be even one for DODGE DIESEL to be put in rover

Alright, found a guy in town that looks like he can help me out.

We're going to take the tanks from my Chevy radiator to build around a 4 core from a Kenworth truck... 1/2" tubing, so it should cool this beast nicely. I'll be on the hunt for some Volvo fans, too and a shroud

I saw the truck today at the shop on Burbank Blvd. Looks nice. How is the shop? I have a D130 that I might have a engine swap performed on, if i don't do it myself i want a shop that is familiar with Rovers. And the fact that it's less than a mile from my home would be nice.

NIce Job. I am in the process of doing the same conversion on a 1998 Disco 1. I had already run across the LtFuzz thread and got some ideas. I like the 4L60-E bellhousing idea. A few questions. What is the source for the headers? How did you attach the torque converter to the GM flex plate? What is the adapter plate thickness? Are the dimensions for the bell housing and torque converter adapters available? This appears to be one of the easiest and most cost effective conversions to do. Thanks.

I can get you some pictures and measurements of how it looks on the D1. Lemme know what you need.

I'd recommend the R380 if that's an option for you. A guy on DWeb has one for $800

What sort of headers are you thinking about running?

I was reading through what REDROVER had done and it is what I am doing to my 1998 Disco 1. I have a 6.2 ready to go. My 4.0 is already out. I noticed he had a picture of a set of headers for the 6.2 and I was wondering where they were purchased (what manufacturer). I would like to get a better idea of how he accomplished the conversion using the 4L60-E bell housing. Thanks for the reply.

headers are original humvee headers. u need to cut and weld few inches here and there.

4l80e is the bell housing i used. the adapter is 1 inch t60 aluminum , it has over 25 large holes in there, on side bolts to your zf22 and the other side bolts to 4l80e. and
4l80e bolts on the 6.2 here are some pics

its not bmw 745 bell housing, the guy who made me the plate wrote on it not to mix with zf22
