CLMorgan's LX450 Build Thread

1996 LX450 with 160,XXX miles that I should be finalizing purchase on in a few hours.



It is rather clean inside & out, only a few things to fix: ABS & Air Bag lights stuck on, shifter & steering wheel a bit worn.

Planned upgrades:

Slee Bumpers front & rear.

Metaltech Sliders.

OME lift.

Outfit for overlanding.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Nice. Just curious why you're going with MetalTech sliders vs Slee? With shipping cost from MT, the cost should be about the same. I'm assuming you like the design better?

Looks like a fun build. That Slee stuff sure looks nice, I also wonder why not the matching Slee sliders? The step sliders look like the way to go for an overland style build. Keep us posted!:sombrero:

Thanks guys, yes Metaltech for cat protection - I didn't buy it has rust with penetration and other minor issues but I gather $5k is a good price and she lives two doors away.

Just getting to that but got sidetracked...

It runs well, ABS & AirBag lights stuck on (don't know Land Cruisers well enough to determine if minor or not) normal wear and tear on interior, clear coat is gone on paint plus rust poorly repaired on upper tailgate. Still would be fine ExPo rig just my OCD kicks in with afore mentioned stuff.

Biggest reason for not buying is my truck gets better gas milage so rethinking what to buy as a multi use ExPo rig.
