Coleman Rendezvous, anyone tried it?

I am looking to purchase a stove and grill and have been reading reviews.
Thinking about the following.
1. Snow Peak dual burner
2. Brunton Windy river
3. "basic" Coleman 2-3 burner units and put the extra funds into other gear
4. The coleman rendezvous seems applealing
30k Btu aluminum case with griddle, cutting board in a single unit.
Can't tell if its "higher grade" compents or just fancy marketing, a search here didn't turn up any posts.

Here's a link
Also, going thru the Family store it seems like a good deal.

Thats a nice looking unit. I'll be curious to see if anyone has any experience with it. $400 bucks is a little pricey, but may be worth it.

We tested that stove in Overland Journal....nice features, but very heavy and bulky, even for a vehicle based stove. I have a simple Coleman 2 burner, and the Brunton Wind River. The WR is nice, but is big and heavy (although not as big as the Coleman R).

For that kind of $$ go w/ the Snowpeak. Check around and you can sometimes see them on 20% sales; we lucked out and jumped on a 50% off sale at Backcountry for the last one they had at the time.

You don't need to go overboard. A coleman 2 burner propane ($50) will last a long time. Plenty of heat also. The other $400 dollar stoves don't even have decent windscreens.

Now if you >need< to spend money, I sort of like the look of the Partner stoves. ( http://partnersteel.com/prod01.htm ) I think they're also around $400. They've been talked up on Expo.
