I don't know anything about tractor trailer trailers really - but if anyone could point me to any good links or resources, thank you in advance - I don't even have the vocab to discuss them yet so not even sure how to efficiently google this

I'm talking about the full size trailers, the 18 wheeler trailers.

Not overland, obviously, but interested in anyone building them out for camp / shop / tiny home use.

And the reefer versions - how good is the insulation? Would it be a desirable bonus headstart in building an insulated live-in trailer?

Here's my home build - bought the trailer as a u-built utility trailer, stripped it down and built the box on top from plywood & fibreglass. Haven't spent much time off road but it pulls well on-road - first trip was 3000km around the Canadian interior/rockies. Would've liked a shorter shakedown trip but was on a tight timeline for my folks coming out to visit, thankfully all went great! I just wish the tongue was a little shorter.

Here's my build - the "squatchpod"

Bought this one last month, it is a 1955 Belgian Army Bantam that was already converted to a euro type coupler,
I'm in the process of restoring/modding it so we can use it to go camping this summer

Really nice builds here and actually got some ideas from them. I finished up a 5x10 V-nose and I would like to share pictures and hopefully others can benefit or I can be of some help and pay it back. What would you guys recommend to upload an album that plays nice with the forum?

@Colotl

Looks awesome! Very similar to my 6x10 v nose build.

I use the built in photo attachment option, works great. As you go to post (at least on your phone) there’s an Attach Files option on the bottom left. Upload your pics and when they upload, there’s an Insert… button on the top left of the picture. Click it and you get the option for Thumbnail or Full Image.
