thanks to a link in DPReview.com, here's a web page that does a thorough job of showing how the iPhone 5's camera compares to the iPhone 4S. The author adds a compact camera and a DSLR to some of the comparisons.

yeah iphone5 is a disappointment in terms of the camera.. i waited for it, anticipating something amazing.. but it is barely an improvement over the previous ifone.. I'm going now wait for the Lumia 920.. early examples indicates the camera is amazing.

In 3 years we dont need other cams, i guess.

I leave the apple brand - because i want a bigger screen, just longer like the iphone5 - was`nt enough. I bought the Samsung S3. The cam is good, has panorama shots - and a beautiful display. The apps arent so good, but for pictures, surfing & email - a great device.
