Considering an SLR

Personally when I shoot, I almost ALWAYS use RAW because it will give you lots more latitude when you post process it. Shots where I though for sure I overexposed them beyond fixing were fixable with the RAW image. Not fixable with a full resolution basic quality jpg.

On the rare occassion I don't use raw I'll use the highest quality jpg. Usually its because I want to get the fastest and longest possible continuous rapid fire burst rate like at a car race, etc.
