Well, as I said above, the construction is top shelf - very, very sturdy unit - it will undoubtedly protect what little you can put in it.
I have to CAREFULLY finagle my Glock 20 (full frame 20mm) to get it in but only after I remove the light. Once it is in, it is at such an angle that there is little more I can put in there - BUT the important stuff will go - I can have the Glock, my NUVI 250W, and the Garmin 400t along with my Passport Radar detector. But if I need to fetch just one thing of that list, it all has to come out because it is such a tight fit. I can only imagine I have lost 20%+ of my storage capacity due to not using all of the space available in the original console. For $300.00 I expected much better tolerances, but do enjoy the idea of having some security that is dependable.
