Convince me an Arkto G12 (or something I haven't thought of yet) will suit a family of 3's needs

Be sure to ping Aaron (@Arkto ) as he may have a willing owner in the area that would be happy to show you their trailer. I lucked out as he hit me up here when I was looking and it just happened that a local just got home with theirs and was more than happy to meet. Resulted in two sales as a result (us and another couple that showed up as we were leaving :)). We just picked ours up in Edmonton 2 months ago and came back through MT, WY, and SD back to VA.

Three people could very comfortably be happy in the Arkto. As long as you're comfortable with the weight and limitations with the 4R...that's what counts. We're towing with a '21 2500 Power Wagon so overall length is our limiting factor :sneaky:. We don't have littles...just two dogs (60 & 70 lb). It's comfortably spacious inside and if you add walls to the awning, your protected outdoor space is just palatial. Though that argument stands for anything with a large 270 awning. The interior (and exterior) storage is just incomparable to anything else we've seen, though. It easily can cause one to over pack, but it's pretty sweet for everything to have a place and not have to dig through duffel bags constantly like we do when we camp in the truck.

I've said it in other posts, but for the money and the layout that matched what we wanted...we couldn't find an equivalent made in the States. Factor in the support you get from the Arkto crew, and it was a no brainer for us.

K9 have you ever weighed your tounge when fully loaded? I think if Fox installed Timbren SES bumper stops and was very conceincious on load she will be okay towing with runner.

Aaron may even be able to work with her to lighten the build up a bit.

I haven't. I do want to run over some scales with the truck packed and then, again, with the trailer packed, but just haven't gotten around to it. One of these days I'll measure tongue weight at home. It IS, however, really easy to adjust given the amount of storage behind the axle.

My PW is bagged and cradled with independent adjustability for each side as well. IMO properly spec'd air bags are one of the single best load-carrying update anyone can make bang for the buck. I love being able to maintain a dead level ride no matter how we're loaded out.

Yes my Lexus does that as well. Life is better when level 😉
