Not mine. No affiliation.

Kind of steep, but cool build

I don't doubt it at all.

Summer months on good fuel I routinely saw 17MPG highway with the old 7.3 and camper. Unloaded it was a solid 20MPG truck.
Just have to mind the tachometer. Keep it below 2,000rpm and the old underpowered 7.3's did great on fuel.

I have had my 7.3 since new in 1999. I've hand calculated every tank fill up.....I'm still waiting for 17mpg. Granted my truck is a CC LWB 4x4 and I use California fuel. I guess it's my driving style or the math of those that are getting 19+ MPG. and

Like I said, keep it below 2k

Most cannot, especially in such a state as CA due to gearing and highway speeds.

The typical 4:10's and 70+mph aint gonna do it. 3:55's (which I have in the old PSD) and 65mph does.

Definitely prototype-y. Layout is confusing and busy. If you look at his website, it doesn't surprise me that he's in the film industry. Get a load of this thing: .

WILD. Now if he only offered this in cabover demountable...

Anybody else notice that if the top failed on either of those when in it, you would be trapped inside?

I don't have a horse in this race, but I'm not so sure that is the case. Truck in first Craig's link appears to have a pass-through (not pictured directly, but the interior pic appears to show the threshold framing and the exterior pics appear to show an extension off the cab), and the youtube vid camper has a significantly recessed door that appears like it might swing inward. Can't tell if there is a pass-though on that one, but if there were a big enough opening window on the drivers side (which doesn't get obstructed) you'd probably be good for a secondary escape path.

That's rad.

The rust can be handled. Hell, swap in a new frame if you have to, and you'd still be ahead on the camper build alone.
