The window guards remind me of the ones used on the inside of old 23 window vw buses. I wonder how much bigger the windows on a troopy are vs a bus?

The additional detail under the side shot said that it had a 'tent that folded out on top.'

I wonder how?? It does't look like a pop-top, and that gear rack would preclude any kind of RTT, wouldn't it?

If you look at the right side of it, just below the roof line you will see three vertical latches. On the left side of it you will notice two hinges. I would guess to say that the top opens from the right and and is hinged on the left.

Pics are still working for me....?

Love the old school, prepped to go anywhere, looks like it has already been everywhere, Troop. If it has a Dormobile type side opening top, then all the better.

Cool find. :campfire:

El Gringo Spectacular!
Likely the tires are very stout. My Troopy's original Pirelli Dakar tubed tires on split rims were something like a 16 ply bias tire....seriously strong...

Apparently that rig has done quite a bit of travelling, and likely really works well in the middle of nowhere.

Location?

Anybody recognize the liscence plates?

Its says AU, so one would assume Astralia and we all know those guys over have some of the craziest cruisers.

Definately setup for all world travel, I would love to know the places that thing has been.

It is literally the Troppy version of that German couples 60.

Not questioning the stoutness of the tires- I am sure they are. Not tall enough, or wide enough in my opinion. Give it 31" or 33" Mud Terrains and call it good.
