congrats on a great ambo. Looks so clean. plus you made the incredible drive without incident.

May I ask what type of price range they are in for similar 7.3's with no apparent issues?

I just don't know if it is something I can afford to entertain.....

thanks....and great find...

Toolboxguy..... yes the cargo van is for sale, But....... it puked out the #10 plug from the cylinder. I put a camera down the cylinder and there was no damage. I looked online and there is a do-it yourself kit that all the guys say to use it's called a Timecert.... 800-423-4070. luckily the #10 is at the back of the engine and you can get to it easily when the dog house is off. The kit does not require the head to be removed at all. As far as a price for it as is...$1,800.00 obo if I dont get any takers then I'm going to install the Timecert and then the price goes up to$3,000.00..... 2001 Triton V10 E350 RB

Copescobra..... I have been looking around a long time for one of these mini mods and they are sparse to find esp w/the 7.3.... they were all running around 10-15 K.... I chanced upon this one in TX for 5K and immediately flew out there and bought it sight unseen except for his picks.

First on the to-do list was to get rid of those nasty jungle gym mirrors and put something a bit more stylish on.

Ahhh ... much better

Cowboy. Do you know if you can modify 2002 and up mirrors to fit 93 van doors???
I am trying to find out before buying new mirrors. I also want to get rid of those school bus mirrors!!!

Copescobra: lady with mini mid in NY (631) 388-9502. I think I would have gotten it if I had not already found mine.
Definitely some damage to the box. We had to jump start it, but it ran really well and smoothly. I'm not sure how easy or hard it would to fix damage to the alu box.

Seems like a fair price, sorry to distract from you thread.

Sooo I pulled off a rear wheel to check things out and this is what I saw. This is a mini mod ambo SRW and I'm looking at this axle thinking it looks way familiar. It looks just the axle that was on my duallie, I then looked closer at the front wheel and back wheel difference... the back is a bit wider even though it's a mini mod, I never picked up on it when I bought it. Anyway good news or bad news ?? are there locker options for the DRW axle, I was hoping to save some $$ and not have to buy a rear axle for the conversion as well. I could just keep it and run a locker up front. And on a different note this thing is really heavy or these rear springs are way tired... look at the negative arch in them, and that is a pretty beefy looking stack of springs.

From the picture it looks like a Dana 70. Although I'd need the number on the diff cover tag to be sure.It was setup to be run either srw or drw. Except with our mini mod boxes the wheel wells are only large enough for srw. This is the same way that MegAmbo came. Is there an upside? Yes. You can slap rear brake pads on it in about three minutes without ever jacking it up or removing a wheel because the rear calipers are inboard of the wheels. As for lockers I was able to find a Detroit very easily for around $400 new. It's a little aggressive for most people's taste but I like it.👍

Is that some kind of special adaptor or can you just run a single rim on a dually axle without any problems?? I am working on a similar project and am trying to sort out all the options.
Thanks

The only adaptor you'd need would be to change the lug pattern from 8x6.5 to 8x170 to match the superduty Dana 60 front. But if you're staying with 8x6.5 then nothing special is needed just a single non-dually style wheel.
