Crocs Mammoth

While Crocs has a following of interesting folks there are those that just flat out hate em. I like to at least try something before I totally hate it* (there are some things we need not try to know we hate them). I saw the furry version about a year ago in a department store and tried them on..... mmm cozy I thought and what do you know comfy too. After the Keen sandals I figured what could be uglier and there they were Crocs the ugliest by far, but damn comfy. So I added them to the Christmas list and what do you know they showed up. I have been wearing them around the house and out in the yard and must say these would rock around a cool campsite, cold could be accomplished with wool socks. I like them and wanted to pass it along.

They are ugly, but I love my Crocs too. Haven't tried the furry pair, but some them recently and thought they would be nice.

Those look way more comfortable than regular crocs. I tried a regular pair once, they weren't comfortable and they made my feet stink.

Everything makes my feet stink especially sandals, the liners are removableso good to go. I've tried soaking in bleach 50/50 water mix. We'll see

i have a pair of crocs that I clip to the outside of my backpack. They weigh almost nothing, and its a nice feeling to slip off heavy boots and into some other shoes after a long hike.

Beats trying to get those stiff backpacking boots on in the middle of the night when nature calls you from your tent too!

My wife got a pair of those fuzzy ones to use as deck shoes on our upcoming Alaska cruise, but then we found our how slippery they are on wet surfaces....

I may try coating the soles with ToolDip.

Beware wearing crocs around out-of-doors, pokey things go right through.

Right; they don't qualify as shoes. Slippers maybe.
I'd like something for puttering around the campsite at first light but I'd prefer just a little more heft...

I work in and ER and would NEVER give up my crocs... They're the only thing that get's me through these 12hour shifts. I tried on the mamoth's and really didn't like them but I may give them another shot (I've had Ugg's for about 10 years as in before every little hipster teenage girl stared wearing them) and I love the shearling lining.

For all weather wearabliity, I like their Mario batali sig. Closed toe model with the add-on traction sole. I JUST broke the strap on mine doind something stupid and I'm kicking myself.

I wear out a pair of the "Off-Road" (my fav's and also my rafting footwear) crocs about every year adn will be getting another pair here in a week or so.

Cheers

But hey, along with my year long love of Georgia "ROMEO" boots (If you don't ahve any go get some) those Xtratuf's look sweet.

Come to think of it, if you want slipper like footwear... GRomeo's are about the best there is. I LIVE in mine year round and have done hikes in them that other people swore I needed high-top hiking boots for.

these are the greatest pair of boots EVER: For point of refrence I had some good ol Blundstones (that I bought for 30 bucks aussie at the local feed store compared to 145.00!!!!! here in the US where they sell them to Yuppies primarily) when I lived in OZ and upon returning to Oregon I shipped my buddy down there a pair of Romeo's and he now has me send him some every single year he loves them so much. After 30+ years of wearing Blundy's he's now a die hard Romeo fan and says he'll never go back.
