The cruiser (and my other vehicles!) got hailed on yesterday! Thankfully no damage.... the video was more unnerving with the sound of drums on the hood and roof of the rigs....

Cleaning the valves.

OK will do. Ross was thinking of getting a scooter, but he's still in Idaho and he probably couldn't afford it until he takes a semester off and works some more.
 
Not even I have the amount of optimism required to undertake this pig.... Because of the price, I thought I'd have another rig in the driveway, but... Well, look at the pictures.

Therapy is starting again soon. Started clearing out the garage to be able to start reassembling the 3FE. I probably have 40 hours of work until the truck is operable.

I found myself in an conundrumatic crossroads. I've found myself dissatisfied with idea of running the 3FE and H42 for too long. The poor fuel economy and performance has me worried. I've been researching the idea of installing a diesel engine. What appears to be the easiest, most economical, and fairest performer is the GM 6.5. There are lovers and haters, I don't want to hear your thoughts unless you have direct knowledge/experience with this engine. If you give a con, be sure to list a pro.

Therapy is back in session.
 
Having a quick therapy session before church. Im a bit concerned about how the bellhousing mates to the block.... with only three bolts. The (3F) bellhousing is the one needed to fit the manual transmission but the truck and motor came equipped with an automatic transmission and so the flange on the back of the motor is not the same. Plus there are gaps that probably shouldn't exist or there will likely be unnecessary wear on the clutch....

Should I be looking for the 2F's "Transmission Housing Adapter" to bolt to the 3FE block to attach the 3F bellhousing appropriately??
