CTSolar panels

This is a trailer you do not sleep "in"? The price per watt looks pretty good for folding panels. For a "sleep in" trailer, a stick on 68 watt solar is about $250 with controller.

Where are you finding a 60watt crystalline Solar panel/w controller, for $250 bucks

I guess they've REALLY come down, my 60W pnl/w controller cost $500 BUCKS 3 yEARS AGO

This and a $50 10 amp controller.

I'm putting five of these on an Alaskan. Very commonly used on more "bush" type campers. Technically smart companies like All Terrain Warriors have used this model for years.

:bike_rider: Super and those are mono-crystalline cells like I'm using

Here about the best price for a small fixed panel I've seen. More usable for smaller trailers than the Unisolar, I think.

I'm gonna save that mfg for any future additions, thanx everso

I have been using an AMSolar 100 watt panel on my rig for the past 5 years. Works great keeping 3 batteries charged up. Of course I paid 2X what they cost now but that is progress.

The only downside I see for a AMSolar really small system is the 24v. Are there any inexpensive 24v to 12v charge controllers? Otherwise that little 50w panel seems like a good candidate for a small trailer or even a roof rack.

I have the CT Solar folding panel setup. I've had it since 2007. Works great. I'm planning to get a second panel for it since I purchased an Engel 35.

Hey Don,
Have you purchased any of these Solor Home ones yet? Looking at the specs I was wondering if they have a sticky backing or something like that.

Here is the quote from the specs on the website:

* Easy peel & stick application with microbial inhibitor

I was looking at this one yesterday and almost bougt one with a $30 controller they have

I've purchase the Unisolar, but not installed. I'm still debating using regular panels for more watts. Formulas suggest I should have between 500-1000 watts of solar. I probably can't make 500 with unisolar

The Uni-solar are peel and stick. There are instructions on the Uni-solar site.
Mobile application doesn't follow the warranty or the installation instructions. But I've followed Uni-solar for years and never heard of a problem. Unisolar's characteristics are unique and there's nothing similar for an installed rugged mobile application.

I have seen some 12v 30-40w regular panels for <$200. It takes time shopping for the best shipped price. Personally I would only buy an expensive folding kit for backpacking.

That looks like a good deal. I would want to measure the voltage on the battery side on such an inexpensive controller.
