Hi,

I'm making a trip up to ID in 2 weeks to raft the Salmon (if the whole River of No Return wilderness hasn't burnt up by then). I'd like to see your unit if it's still available.

Let me know.

Mike

Sounds good - if it is still here. Just so you know, we are way up north past Coeur d'Alene.

A great setup for a great price. I am surprised no one has bought it yet. The truck alone is beautiful. I know how much all that stuff costs. The bulletproof diesel stuff is the best money can buy. Guaranteed this truck is way more reliable than any 7.3L you will find with this stuff on it. I am about to do the same stuff to my 6.0L. Not pleased with the prices. Who did you get to do your line-x stuff, and were you happy with them?

Beautiful truck!!! Don't give it away too cheap. You have a GREAT base truck here (F550). These monroe beds sell for a lot, and you could sell the bigfoot camper. The convert it to a SRW and you'd have a great platform for a GXV or custom camper. Jealous...

That is the StableLift more deluxe lift. Given the perimeter frame is uses, three lifts provide more possible articulation of the camper to get it level. The system works great as you can use the camper when it is off the truck, unlike the 4 corner jack system. It can also be used to level the camper when parked in the back of the truck. Sometimes less hassle than trying to level the truck itself.

My happyjacs work great to take the camper off the truck and I use the camper off the truck every single time I camp, they use the same style motors, if not identical.

I was just curious why there are not 4 motors.

Thanks for the compliments. No, I will not be giving it away cheap. I have WAY too much invested in this set-up. I agree - it is a great basis for a custom build.

I had happy jacks on this camper before and they were AWFUL. Of course, this camper weighs more than most. There was absolutely no getting in the camper when it was off the truck with the Happy Jacks system. To be honest, the Stable Lift was the best money I spent on the camper. It made it a LOT easier and quicker to take the camper on and off the truck.

Curious, with the camper hanging over that much how does it handle a regular trailer for hauling a desert truck or a boat or something behind?

And what is a dry bath? Sleep 3 or 4?

I have hauled my 6000 lb trailer with a distribution hitch with no problem just on the hitch extension. When pulling our 10,000 trailer, I use a trailer toad (www.trailertoad.com) which takes all the hitch weight off the tow vehicle and transfers it to a separate axle. Very slick set-up. The basket / hitch extension is included with the vehicle, the trailer toad is NOT included but is available for $2500 extra. New they are about $3500 delivered.

The "dry bath" means that the shower is separate from the toilet. Smaller campers have the toilet, sink & shower all in one area, so once you use the shower, the "bathroom" is generally wet for the rest of the day.

It has a queen size bed over the cab and the dinette folds into a bed (5' 9" long x 3' 4" wide) which is good for 1-2 people (or kids) depending on their size.

OFFICIALLY OFF THE MARKET

Thanks for all of your interest. We have decided to keep this rig and take it south this winter. There just isn't much out there that can compete with the versatility of this set-up for us (under $300k) and we have decided to enjoy it for at least one more season.

Thanks again
Kurt
