After 33 years of fun, I'm selling my beloved Deuce and a Half camper, the BAJA6X6. It was originally designed for long duration trips to Baja, and the longest one I did was three weeks. It performed flawlessly. Then I moved on to exploring and camping in the Mojave Desert, logging over twenty one week adventures. I hate to sell it, but I'm just not a young man anymore. The off road ability of the Deuce is amazing, and the walking beam bogie is magic in rough terrain. If you really want a go-anywhere expedition vehicle, the Deuce is it. I have continuously maintained and upgraded it as long as I have owned it, and all work was done right and with the intention of keeping it forever. The list includes: New brake linings and wheel cylinders, new rear leaf springs, new (rebuilt) transfer case, brand new clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing, 95% new Goodyear G-177 radials, hydraulic power steering (with gear drive hydraulic pump), custom front wheels with a wider offset, Raycor 8 micron marine fuel filter (replacing the stock #1 filter), new water pump, and many other things I can't recall now. I also have a full set of original service manuals. About 6000 miles ago the head gaskets were replaced with the newest version and at the time all engine components were cleaned and painted and all hoses and clamps were replaced. The engine is the stock LDT-465-1C (thick deck) multi-fuel turbo diesel. It starts instantly and runs perfectly. Total miles on the engine and truck is 28,000. It has been kept indoors for the past 25 years and meticulously cared for with oil changes every 1200 miles. The camper box is ruggedly constructed from 1-1/2" steel tube and features a crawl through to the cab. The cabinets are solid oak and the interior features a full size RV propane refrigerator, 4 burner stove / oven, large sink, 10' countertop, wall mounted catalytic heater. The couch folds out to a two person bunk and the cabover easily sleeps one adult or two smaller people. The bathroom features a porcelain toilet with nine gallon holding tank. The interior is designed to carry additional overlanding equipment and / or two full sized dirt bikes. A large and very solid loading ramp slides under the bed so you can just ride the bikes in or use it to walk in instead of the rear mounted ladder.
IF you ever wanted a Deuce and a Half camper, you should really consider this one as it's prepped and ready to go. I'm asking $38,000.00 OBO. Located in Fallbrook, CA. Cell / text Charlie at 760-822-7207.

I forgot to mention that the matching military M105 trailer is included with the above Deuce and a Half. It has the military tarp and a couple of heavy duty steel racks inside for carrying gear, or you can easily carry three full sized dirt bikes (recommended!) I also have one additional 95% tread Goodyear G-177 tire that is included.

One thing I forgot to mention is the vehicle is registered in California as a motorhome (so no weight fees) and is exempt from smog checks.
And in contrast to the electronically controlled marvels of today, the mighty Deuce engine runs without any electronic aids or electric power (except the starter motor). It's simple and easy to work on, the way an expedition vehicle ought to be.
