Custom Fabrication/Welding - CBI Off Road Fab

CanuckMariner/Nomad

Love having fun 😊 in the 🌞 by the ⛵ and the ⏳
I ran into this site (CBI Off Road Fab) from a fellow ExPo member Wil Kuhns, and checked it out. The owner, Steve Eagan (you can get his email and phone number from the site) was even willing to meet me on the road during my trip through Wyoming last year but I dropped by his shop on the way home (nice shop!). He said he would pencil in a week for me and have a look. So I gave him a date and time and sure enough he was true to his word. During the week we had time to get to know each other and get my replacement tank built using steel 10 gauge bottom and 16 gauge top to eliminate the skid plate and extra weight. He mocked up a tank in cardboard to see the fit and do the volume calculations. We took apart the stock tank (filler, sensor, etc.) to use in the new tank and it has worked great for me since. Took me from a 90 litre to a 160 litre tank with a range of 1200 to 1400+ kms and didn't loose any clearance or departure angle.

He is currently making a tubular rear bumper with 2" receiver and 2 tow points with swing out (removable) tire carrier and swing out 2 jerry can holder (also removable) for a 2007 FJ Cruiser for a friend of mine and it looks great. Has extra tabs for lights, antennas, hi-lift jack carrier and tabs for the back-up sensors. Also includes side guard rails and powder coating al; for less than anyone else was offering to build but still hasn't delivered. It is going to the powder coaters tomorrow.

Anyways, Steve makes great stuff, good quality, custom work, all on time and budget guaranteed. He is very meticulous and frequently rethinks and changes to make it better as he goes. I certainly do not hesitate in making this recommendation. If you need more info contact him directly or email me as per profile. He is located in Idaho Falls, ID and will ship anywhere in the lower USA. Give him a call and check him out.

He also makes/has battery trays, jerry can holders, tubular jack adapters, you name it he can make it! and at a vey reasonable price.

They do really nice custom fab work and are fairly reasonable on price too. I haven't had anything done by them but I see his work every now and then.

Xwhatever on Steve.

Sliders and rear bumper from him. TacoDoc also has one of his rear bumpers. CBI is well known in the Tacoma/Toyota truck world. Nice guy, quality work and reasonable prices for what you get.
