MrGrimm you wouldn't happen to be at Ft Bragg currently would you? My brother just sent me a picture of a Tacoma he saw on base that looked very similar to yours.

I was talking with my Mom when I ordered mine and told her that people probably wouldn't know what mine said and joked that they would think they meant "For Whaling." I finally got the letter notifying me that the plates were in and went to pick them up. The lady behind the counter was getting things ready and asked me what they said. I told her "For Whaling" as my family came from a long line of Nordic whalers from Finland. She said "Cool" and continued doing the paperwork. Now I was wearing my Red Rock Four Wheelers Trail Leader club jacket with the logo and Moab on it. I also had a Moab wheeling t-shirt and hat on. She was just about done with the paperwork and suddenly looked at me and shouted, "You're messing with me!" and then she started laughing. She had finally realized what it meant. :sombrero:

MrGrimm and Box Rocket, where did you get your avatars? I love them. They remind me of the trucks I drew all the time in school.

Michigan SoS has a plate checker for personal plates. One of these days I will come up with one I have to have.

Nah, not me. I am stationed at Camp Pendleton.

I made my own. There was a thread on here about a year ago that had a link to how to do it. I am trying to search for it but can't remember.

Been involved with volunteer SAR since I was in high school (made a goo excuse to miss 44 days of school my senior year and still get a 4.0!)

Wanted it when I was living in WA but a friend on Ski Patrol already had it. When I moved to ID it was available so I snagged it. Other SAR partners have:

MTN RSQ and IRESQU

People still ask me what kind of Unimog is that.

I guess the general public is more familiar with Unimogs than Pinzgauers.

We got the van as a climate controlled kennel on wheels when our Boxer was to old to hike with us. When he died I changed the plates to show we miss him. URMSD--You Are Missed.

Haha, there was a story on our local news a while back, maybe some other SLC members saw it... There was a vegan woman that wanted to have her custom plates say; "ILVTOFU". The woman was shocked when they denied her request for the plates. She just said that she loved tofu and that other people should know about it.

I thought of a cool one a while ago. I forgot what it was, but the idea didn't last long because I can't justify the $60 or whatever it costs.

I remember seeing an article about that in a car rag. I think it was Autoweek.

The State Of Michigan has a program online where you can check to see if a custom plate is available. A co-worker and I were messing with it one night. You could get "IH8COPS" and LUV2DUI".
