2001 FORD F-550 WITH CUSTOM FLATBED AND CAMPER
BRAND NEW FORD REMAN ENGINE
BUILT FOR BOONDOCKING AND CAMPING OFF-GRID
Please read below as this truck and camper have had SIGNIFICANT modifications. It has been an awesome full-time boondocking rig for us but we’re ready to move into an even smaller rig.

TRUCK
2001 Ford F550, 4x4, manual transmission
Ford 7.3 Reman engine with less than 5k miles (and only 195k miles on the chassis). Miles will go up some as we are still driving it.
New KC Turbo and pedestal
New glow plugs with engine
New water pump with engine
Air ride system
New DP Tuner installed with 60hp Codes for Towing and Hi-Idle RPM - 1400 - for Warmup, Boost A/C output, Running a Winch, Jump Starting (also stock and kill switch positions)
Upgraded RiffRaff Diesel air filter
MaxTow Pilar gauges for EGT, boost, fuel pressure, and water coolant temp
Custom iron bull bumper (winch ready)
Upgraded radio with Bluetooth and backup camera
Custom kill switch
Cab has Noico soundproofing installed
TRUCK BED
Custom built storage, steel framed with PVC panels and heavy duty stainless steel hinges and aluminum trim
Truck bed modified to fit 41” tires (like MPT 81’s) if desired (room for 41” spare tire in the storage boxes as well)

Major systems all gutted and redone
Propane completely removed
Espar diesel hydronic heater for air and hot water with 4 new vents in cabin plus 1 into basement to keep tanks warm in extreme cold. All vents can be controlled separately. Hot water is INSTANT.
Separate 5 gallon diesel tank for Espar system with gauge in cabin
High altitude kit installed on Espar
Espar Easy Start controller + thermostat
900 Watts of solar (Five 180 watt Grape Solar panels wired in parallel)
780 amp hr battery bank (Six 120 amp hr Victron AGM batteries)
Midnite solar classic 150 charge controller
Xantrex 2000 watt inverter/charger (with remote display) - controls convection microwave, rooftop a/c, kitchen outlets
Victron 300 watt inverter - powers all other electrical outlets and TV, saving power by not using the larger inverter
