CVT Roof Top Tent GB 2012

He's been spotty this week but replied to me twice, second time today (via email). I asked about a group buy and he said he'd have another one in the Spring. Was thinking about pulling the trigger by Monday in hopes of getting it for Labor Day. I'm in Maryland though. He said should take no more than five days to get here. I might just go for it. Rather have it for the fall than wait since it would likely be at least May based on this post before I get it on a group buy next Spring. Can't decide on a Rainer or McKinley though!

I have a McKinley, check it in post 365 and also at the CVT page here
We love it and four sleeps there very comfortable.

Educate me for a minute...
What makes CVT better than Tepui? I've received the same level of Q&A service but the price and overall size put Tepui in the lead. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hi-jacking or flaming, just want to know before dropping a grand+ .

how is Tepui Gran Sabana at $1725
Size (Closed)72" x 48" x 12" (WxLxH)Size (Open)72" x 96" x 52" (WxLxH)Sleeping Footprint72" x 96" (WxL)Peak Internal Height56"

cheaper than Mt. Rainier Roof Top Tent $1695
ize: 72"W x 96"L x 50"Ht. (Open)

Size: 72"W x 48"L x 14" Ht. (Closed)

then if you take away the GB discount we got a smoking deal

I know, it was a wicked awesome deal.

I'm looking at the Mt Bachelor and the Kukenam. I have a 6 six man Big Agnus ground tent so a 2+ RTT is all I need for a quick trip.

I have a demo McKinley in red here in Northern Ky near cincy. Bobby told me he will take $300 off for it being a demo. Plus shipping from here to Maryland has to be cheaper than from Oregon. Contact bobby and tell him you are interested in it. I am using it until he gets my tent in.

No offense guys but I highly doubt bobby will do another GB till at least next summer. It takes a TON of extra work for him. CVT is also a part time gig for bobby. But I still think he is the greatest person to deal with for RTTs.

So don't get super excited. It's a miracle he has done one the last two years.

I'm sure he will do another one. But I almost positive it won't be till next may-July.

Too funny!!! How many times can you say it? May have to delete the thread to get it to stop. BTW I think Bobby has some really big plans for CVT in the future...

Don't close it, just change the title from "CVT Roof Top Tent GB 2012" to "CVT Roof Top Tent GB 2012 (ended)" or something like that.
People still posting experiences...

I have in Bold Red letters the first thing you should read..is its closed..haha

Also may be a CVT event in the works. Ill keep people posted as details get worked out. :spy:
