D2 rear storage rack build

Yep, it's the OEM seatbelt bolt.... plenty of thread on it.

I think in a real heavy frontal, having the rack move about in the back is going to be the least of our worries... as you say, with the additional top mounts it's less likely to move about and still has to get past the rear seats.

Just waiting for my cargo rails and some over center clips from Protex to hold the fridge tray in place now.

Yeah, I think it's a pretty decent setup as-is. Certainly WAY better than relying on the factory "dog barrier" which attaches with little more than plastic clips. Or no protection at all.

Yer.... pulled out the RHS storage bin last nt... why do they have to make such bib holes for the mountings.... need some trim clips to tidy it up now and a peli case for the tool kit to live in that location.

I think the RHS will get an OBA setup in the near future, already have a compressor so just need a tank etc. That'll keep all the extra wiring down one side of the vehicle for simplicity.

Few new pic's of the painted rack on OLC. Going to remake the fridge tray as not 100% happy with how it works with the additional cover.

Cool. I really like the way you did the cargo track also. The angled strap will wedge objects into the front corner really nicely.

Am working on my OBA install at present, once I get that sorted I'll have it all back in & will post some pic's. Have made a new fridge frame & have plenty of room below for a tray table now :)

That's ok if you have a crappy tire in town.... nearest to me is an hours drive away. Got a nice throttle cable from the local mower/chain saw shop that's worked a treat.
