Yes, that did make a difference. I really need to change gears though.

Do you have the main selector in L? I find that helps quite a bit, there is less slippage in the torque converter.... the last time i went out i didn't have any problem with trans heating up.... but i did change gearing this summer to 4.63 from a '95 sr.
