I just wanted to post a little heads up for those looking for a touchscreen navigation computer like I am. The Dell Inspiron Duo appears to be a nice choice for a smaller touchscreen tablet that still has a full keyboard and trackpad when needed. I've had one for less than 24 hours now and have already submitted a Defective Return ticket to Dell.
This tablet has 2gb of RAM, a dual-core mobile processor, and a 320gb HDD but can barely run the operating system smoothly, much less my Delorme Topo software. Simple tasks such as opening IE or Chrome task the CPU to 100% for 10-15 seconds before finally opening. My Delorme Topo software takes around 1 minute to open and then even navigating around the maps is jumpy. The GPS navigation at any decent zoom level is so choppy the map can't keep up with my current location.
I just wanted to let everyone know that may be considering this tablet that while it's specs look like it would make a good navigation computer it in fact cannot meet the demands of the task. Hopefully I'll be able to return it without a restock fee and go back to searching.
