DeMented Toys $500 Excellent Adventure Trailer Build

That is a very cool trailer and I'm all kinds a jealous and its not like it matters what I think but givenyour vehicles and propnsity for mil spec, how about a nice deep olive/forest green.

At first I was thinking maybe a flat desert tan color, but since it has bright aluminum diamond plate on it I don't think it would look right.... Od Green or desert tan; unless I painted the aluminum diamond plate too.

I'm a fan of the two tone with desert/sand and black accents.

There was a Dodge Ram a member repainted not too long ago... IIRC he's a young guy who works on formula race cars. Unfortunately his user name escapes me at the moment.

I couldn't tell if you hacked off the front channel receiver, BUT I use those on all my trailers regardless of size. They are the cats meow for versatility, pintel, 2", 2 5/16" whatever you need.

I just had a great paint idea!!! A metallic gunmetal jet fighter gray/silver!

Something like these. Sweet!!! Hope my painting skills are up to the task!!

The colors will match both tow rigs, and look good with the aluminum diamond plate. And I can still have the military look but in a much cooler way!

I rebuilt and reinstalled the door latches.

I made some cool skull latch catches too. :). I'm going to make a few more to use as brackets to hold my propane tanks in place.

Today I got my door lift supports put on. I went with 19" extended 130lb gas springs. It's super nice not to have to tie the doors open anymore!!

I also picked up heavy duty piano hinges 6' long for $9.11 each. I'll use one on the back door and one for a vent on top.

I'm still exploring options to mount my solar panel. I want it removable to be able to park in the shade and sit the panel in the sun. I have a couple T-tracks that may work. I just need to make a couple brackets.

I am contemplating the exact same thing. I was thinking of building a sub frame to mount the panel too then with four wing nuts (or bolts) It would be removable. Add a two prong connector so I can add in an extension for the wiring and I think it will work.

I'm getting it cleaned up, ready for paint.

So in order to keep with the all purpose trailer goal, I need to figure out how to fit my motorcycle in it. Floor to inside ceiling is 38" high. My motorcycle is 41"tall.

I'm thinking that opposed to adding a spacer to raise the whole trailer top, I can instead just cut the center strip of floor and drop that section down 6".... Any thoughts or ideas? Has anyone done something similar?
