Did ford equip any SRW E350's with a D70HD or D80?

Iv posted this question in another forum without any response so I will try here..

Since the Dana 70U uses the D60 bearings with the only difference being the larger ID on the pinion head bearing bore. And the 70B, you only get the larger pinion head bearing.. But when you compare a D70HD, you get the larger pinion head bearing and the Dana 80 sized carrier bearings.
Its easy to see I would be wasting my time with any axle other than the D70HD or D80 since I own a D60FF already. Im not sure how the wheel bearings changed from each D70 though.

Did any SRW E350's get equipped with the D70HD's or D80's? Or were those only found on dually cutaways before I spend time looking? The problem is that the D70 housing was still listed as a D60 so it has a D60 number. And the same gear cover makes it hard to distinguish from the D60 to someone in a hurry making a personal inspection a necessity.

Thanks

I guess they didn't..

Next question.. What year did ford switch to 170mm stud circle on the front D60's ? I'm trying to decide if I want a sterling rear, and I'm guessing people prefer it to the stock D60 rear so all the wheel stud spacing match after they install a metric front D60?

D60SF to FF

Don't have the answer to any of the previous questions, so figured I'd tack on another question... :lurk:

Happen to know if the D60FF hardware is plug-and-play with a D60SF axle? Been curious about filling in the gap left by the 2" wheel spacer after the UJOR conversion on a D60 rear and wouldn't object to an FF upgrade.

Thanks.

Did you ever get an answer to this question?

I'm doing that same axle swap right now and the WMS-WMS are the same between the SF and FF. The SF is on my 2005 E350 and the donor FF is from a 2000 E350 with disc brakes. So, plug and play wrt the brakes but I need to move the shock mounts (because Sportsmobile moved them when they converted the van to 4x4) but I will still need to use spacers. It's not nearly the same concern on a FF than it is on the SF. Other opinions may vary.

98 dodge D80.. the hybrid. hopefully

It looks like enough room for a centered drive shaft. Barely 3" to the tank

All speculation as the truck is 30 miles south at the moment.
