I have a decent build out on a Tundra with a "basic" Leer canopy. I'd like to add a diesel heater to extend into the winter.
I'd love to do this exact setup. All-in-one diesel heater outside that shoots heat into the bed. My only hangup/concern is the heater duct vent interacting with the canopy window screens. Shooting it through an opening in the side window seems to be my best/easiest option (using a scrap vent hole like in the video). Just worried about heating up or melting the screen.
Let me know if you have any experience with these heaters interacting with window screens. Would love to avoid drilling holes or making any permanent modifications to the truck or canopy. Thanks!
