The 4.5L is the engine introduced to Asian markets in the Land Cruiser earlier this year. It's rated at 286 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque in Australian trim. Today's Tundra with 5.7L gas engine is rated at 381 hp and 401 lb-ft, so the diesel would be an improvement for towing, and probably could run a taller axle ratio, meaning better fuel economy.
The 7.0L is new, and probably indicates that Toyota will offer a competitor in the 11-12,000 lb GVWR class (F350, Chevy 3500). To be compared favorably with today's diesel engines from International, Cummins and GM, the Toyota engine will need to produce upwards of 700 lb-ft of torque.
