Hey guys,
I've been hiding in the corner just crawling through the forums for a while but only recently started posting on here!
I've been really inspired by the DIY rear drawers not just for the JKUs but also all the other 'vehicles' and I've been stealing ideas here and there for my own DIY drawer!

The design features a drawer specifically for the stove with a partition where I plan to keep all the cooking utensils. The drawer above the stove is H110mm x W320mm x D700mm. The main container box that holds all the drawers is H300mm x W750mm x D750mm just to get an idea for the size of the entire setup. The stove that was measured out is a Wild Country double burner. The white boxes sticking up in the images are lids for the drawers that double as tables for putting things down on.
I'll be building it this weekend, only parts that will not allow it to be completed is the heavy duty drawer slides which I've ordered, 700mm with a 100kg load rating.
The box is designed to be bolted down with 4 turnbuckles that attach to the JKU's stock tie down points. I was trying to be as un-intrusive with drilling holes into the vehicle as I can which in this instance has been avoided. I'm hoping this will be sufficient to hold the box down. If the turnbuckles are not sufficient I'll look at steel brackets and longer metric bolts to replace the tie down point bolts.
Eventually I also plan to add a slider 60lt ARB fridge on top. I also plan to add to the original boxes through hinge attachments that'll fit around the shape of the JKU's boot to make it flat for laying cargo on top. The hinges will allow for small items to be stored and secured away whilst also maintaining a top flat surface for cargo storage.
Would love some feed back on this before I start building it this weekend!
Regards,
Gouldie.
