In this episode we hit the tourist destination of Cusco, meet up with friends, then we all head for the sacred valley where our first stop is the beautiful ancient Inca ruins of Pisac.
Good eye! It's amazing what shows and that darn red light has shown up before. Of course it's seldom enough that we forget the next time to tape over it. Haha!Looks like the start of a great trip. I hope to one day go to Machu Pichu. On the night time time lapse, did you try to identify the flashing red light on the right side? It piqued my curiosity but I couldn't see anything from the video so maybe it was from the window picking up the record light on the camera????
That's awesome and sounds like a hell of a story! We had some friends do the Inca trail and say it was busy and touristy now. It really bummed us out because we'd read several accounts saying how amazing it was. I'd still do the Inca Trail to give it a chance, but I think we may have missed the boat on it being a raw/real adventure. That being said there are some newer discovered ruins that have a couple day trek that we'd like to do that may still be un visited enough to be what we're looking for. Cheers! Can't wait to see Machu Pichu now. I went in 1985 and did the then 5 day hike in on the Inca trail. We had the trail the various ruins on the hike and MP with only a handfull of peeps. Spent a full day and a half in MP. It was/is one of my best adventures of my life! Even after getting robbed at gun and knife point halfway there by Quechua bandits.
Couple of questions.
What would be a guess as to how much you spent in one year of travel or for the year and a half that you were gone? Just trying to figure what it will cost the wife and I for a similar trip? I will be retiring before we start the trip so the budget will not be that big of an issue but still wondering?
Second question, In your opinion what would be the pro's and con's of shipping to Argentina and driving North VS heading South and shipping in the end?
Keep up the good work, love the videos.....
