Disco 2 CDL and Traction Control

I have my CDL working in my D2.

I've heard the Traction control is programmed to be more aggressive when the CDL is off. And its supposed to be more passive when the CDL is locked.

Is there any truth to this?

Your traction control doesn't know anything about the CDL as it wasn't an option until 04. That being said, the 04 does have a better t/c system.

Say I have an 2000 Disco. Can I swap in a Traction Control Computer from an 2004 and have the better TC system?

Unknown. But if you are going to go that length, throw a detroit in the rear axle. That'll work like a charm.

The early D2s have great traction control. Learn to drive with it and she'll make it happen.
