Last of the D4s, going to see how close to the end of production it was made.

Superb maintenance folder on it.

Going to refit all the Prospeed and front runner kit from my D3 which has sadly gone to Land Rover heaven.

Our $500 rescue Rover, 2008 LR3 with 188K miles and a myriad of problems, but with a bit of work and persuasion I did drive it home. The plan is to work this into a trail rig and commuter vehicle, to compliment the 2019 Disco Sport we just acquired.
We had a fling with Broncos, she had a Sport and I had a 2 door base. Turns out that Ford put a breather line on the sports that is too short, lets water and contamiants into the rear diff and without regular oil changes eats the RDU which is a $4K repair out of warranty. She had already endured several recalls and TSB's and was tired of waiting for the next horseshoe to drop. I was tired of payments on a vehicle so we sold them both, and back into Rovers.
So far, cleaned the throttle body and MAF for a lopey idle, front valve block and struts for a droopy nose, and now working on adjusting the shift cable as I have to hold it firmly in drive for forward motion. New compressor and driveshaft in the near future, and tires before snowfall.
I do have a wierd problem-the rover defaults to off-road height and the switch doesn't seem to work. I might have a try at cleaning it.

Sure you've read all the suspension discussions out there, but for the love of anything you find holy; DONT, USE, AN, AFTERMARKET, COMPRESSOR!

after testing and checking with other experts, 217psi is plenty of air power so I;m not going to need a compressor.
I will say I used an aftermarket compressor on a previous LR3 and had no problems with that one, but the Arnott one I changed out was pretty junky. Melted the connector at the motor.
I did repair the height switch, had to clean 16 years or gunk and corrosion and resolder some bad spots on the switch PCB. Now I;m fighting a bad brake hard line to the right rear. Why is it always the right rear?
