So far I like it a lot!
The 3.5 takes some getting used to,the tuning is a little odd as has been with all newer vehicles I have driven, it seems to get better over time. It has plenty of power but it seams there is no mid range, you either drive like a grandma or drive like you stole it.
I do enjoy driving it and it actually tows better than the 100. It is no landcruiser as far as build quality goes! And only time will tell if it lasts like the first and second gen Tacoma's.

FYI, Toyota released T-SB-007716 two days ago that addresses a lot of the transmission complaints. So far I've read nothing but very positive feedback.

Figures, I just had my 5k service on Wednesday, if I would if waited 1 more day

Just had the trans re flashed, much better now!
Will finally get to put it all to a real test over the next 3 weeks, heading out to Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado, about 4K miles and close to 600 miles offroad. I will be attending 100s in the hills in silverton Colorado as a vendor. Last year was a blast and even though I don't have the 100 anymore they said I'm still welcome as long as I give some stuff away for the raffle
