DIY hiking staff that converts to chair

I spent a lot of time on the Instructables site the other day, and ran across a couple ideas that I thought were worth passing along.

Submitted for your consideration, is the hiking staff that converts into a chair.

The guy used a piece of aircraft cable running around the perimeter of the chair, and I can't see that being very comfortable. However, I bet you could accomplish the same thing with some 1" webbing and grommets.

I actually have one of the fishing chairs like that (commercial made metal poles and fabric)...and to be honest,,,its not bad...but ya better find some firm soil..otherwise ya sink the chair..

I remember when I was a kid my grandfather had some that had wooden legs and a hand-tooled leather seat. Almost too nice to sit on...

Love that site. I like their ideas for USB flash drives. Have made a few of the Hot Wheels ones. I suppose you could find one of the small vehicles of your type and make it a USB drive.
