What a week... Got a hell of a deal on Doug Thorley long tube headers on amazon for less than what I would have paid for aftermarket cats. Done. Spent each evening for a few hours this week working on the DT long tube header install. Not a hard install but also not fun. Just seriously tight and time consuming. Good news is that the cat's have not crumbled (YAY my engine is good!) and the X sounds good with the DT's installed with stock exhaust.

The ugly. This is with the crush ring gasket in there... talk about a gap:
The bad news is the stupid ring gaskets from the collector to the secondary cat's are not sealing, or at least that's what I'm assuming, see gap above. I don't think the DT LT's have a deep enough groove machined in them to allow proper fitment. I think i'm going to try and buy some MLS gaskets and put them in to seal up the joint. Has anyone ran into this issue or has a solution?
