Do you feel the need to be unarmed and defensless while camping?

Dalko, if you post rebuttals to the arguments you want me to make, rather than the ones I do, then why should I bother replying, since I know you'll ignore whatever I say?

This was the argument you made:

Stupid people exist. The more stupid people who have guns, the less safe my world is.

I pointed out that if you're truly worried about stupid people causing harm to others, there are a lot other tools/devices, besides firearms, that we should also consider banning/restricting.

Also this quote stands in direct contradiction to what you said earlier:

But it is a fantasy. The chances of meeting some evil doer in the woods is pretty small. The chances of that person weilding a gun, smaller. The chances of our Hero happening upon the scene, at just the right moment, guns aready, infinitesimal.

Yes, it's a fantasy. Let's list all the cases of this happening outside of one's imagination. You start.

The point isn't that one cannot imagine a circumstance in which a gun might be useful. The point is that in the non-fantasy world, those circumstances are too rare to worry about. It's much ado about nothing. Statistically, you'd do better for yourself wearing a helmet rather than a gun.

First you said that the chances of getting harmed by someone with a firearm were small, to the point where it was more "fantasy" than a reality.

Now you say that more people having firearms will make the world less safe.

Which is it?

I'm not lumping anyone together, and I don't hold that guy as representative of anything. I just know that guy is out there. And if you think he's the only one, then your head really is in the sand.

Stupid people exist. The more stupid people who have guns, the less safe my world is.

So please, remain unarmed.

And "gun defenders" don't act like such things never happen, we are well aware of what happens in Chicago every day...you know with those strict gun laws. If someone else that I have no control over does something wrong, should I be punished for it? Yes according to our president (who's cesspool of a "community" has more murders than some states) and liberal lemmings.
