I have the Coleman Fold and Go, and I just leave it out but as well close the lid, ready to boil water for coffee. Although I tend to like a light breakfast so I'm considering other options for boiling water (smaller, quicker).

I will leave it out in all areas except when bears and other 4 legged animals may get too curious. I voted as always, given the bear deal is an exception.

I put it away. I've always wondered about camping in an rtt on a trailer, with a kitchen in the back. I think that would make me uncomfortable in bear country even closed up.

Good question. I wondered this exact thing this summer. I left ours out and open except we returned to camp after big thunder storm hit camp and it took some time to get the stove dried out and the burners clear of water before I had a good flame to get dinner going. I'll start at least closing the lid on it to avoid flooding the burners with thunder showers when were not in camp.
