This truck is my role model. Its the first one I came across when I typed in expedition Tacoma in google 2 months ago. Now this site has got me hooked on yet another expensive hobby. Damn internet.

On a side question, will the 2.7L 4.10 gears fit the v6's or is the carrier a different size? I can feel the difference just going to 265/75/16's

No. The carrier is different for the 2.7 vs. 4.0 trucks.

I wish it was that easy.

How did you get a picture of my daily driver? Love the TV, that would work well in a Canadian winter. :clapsmile

Welcome to Nevadafornia
Now, is it just me or have you not touched the brake lines? How have you avoided that with the extended travel?

'Doc,

Just a quick one, was wondering, you've probably mentioned it before but I couldnt be bothered searchin again, are you running 16x7 or 16x8 rims, and when crawling offroading in "the hard stuff', what pressure do you dop your tyres down to?

Thanks mate ;)

Those are the OEM TRD wheels and they are 16x8 I believe.

When I air down for really rough terrain I use the Staun tire deflators pre-set for 18 PSI. I do not recommend anyone air down below 15 PSI unless they have beadlocks.

If I am doing mixed driving (like Death Valley where you have a mix of pavement and rougher sections, or even Saline Valley which has the worlds most notorious washboard roads) I will air down to about 25 PSI so that I can run any surface at any speed without the need to air up/air down repeatedly :ylsmoke:

I agree with Doc, for low pressure I like to air-down to 15-psi with my tires (same size 255/85R16).

Doc, I think your stock wheels are 16x7, not certain though. My stock 4Runner wheels are 16x7, and my Toyota FJ TRD wheels are 16x7.5"

You may be right, I never measured the real width when I changed to 255's.

I'm sure somebody knows for sure, surprised nobody has corrected us.
