Donahoe question

Hi all,

Put some Donahoe coilovers on my '06 Tacoma not quite a week ago. Been driving around to let them settle out. Left them set at the factory location, then lowered the passenger side to make up for the heavier driver side. I've lowered them a bit, but the passenger side doesn't want to come down. It's still about 3/8" higher than the driver side. Anyone else deal with something like this?

I've been reading about Donahoe coilovers quite a bit lately in preparation for my install. Some folks on TTORA mentionned that this was caused by the sway bar. If you disconnect the sway bar it may allow you to even out both sides. I have not tried this so can't say for sure.

Cheers ,

Mine was high on one side when they were new also. I think I dropped the high side down to 1 3/4" from adj. ring to the top, the other side is at the factory 2" setting.

Thanks guys,

After driving around some more, they have settled some, I'm only a little over a quarter of an inch off now. Some fine tuning I guess. It can't really be that complicated! Although the threads show about a 5/8" difference from side to side. I guess it's just variable.
