We are in Germany!

We had great 6 days in Cologne with family members. We can't get enough of German parks, and how spotless clean everywhere is.

Lots of great looking cars here.

Delicious breads.

Culture (Lactobacillus bulgaricus) shock! After spending months in Mexico and Central America, seeing all these yogurts in Germany was as shocking as anything else...

This diesel Ford Focus will be our overlanding car while we are in Europe next couple months. It's 1.6 L engine is surprisingly zippy and it gets amazing 48 mpg. We will be on the road and tent camping starting from tomorrow.

Makes me wonder why we don't see more diesel cars here in the States.

Back on the road!

After almost two months in Turkey, we are back on the road! In order to spend more time with loved ones we had to give up on our "leisurely drive through Europe" plans. It feels like we are committing a crime not to enjoy Istanbul, Bulgaria and Serbia and just drive straight through. So much history, so many things to see, but not enough time. We are flying back to Costa Rica to pick up our rig next week and continue our journey to Patagonia.

Our European detour is coming to an end. We have visited 15 countries, drove more than 6000 miles. Till next time, farewell Europe. You will be missed.

In Costa Rica with friends

Camping with friends (Running From Monday) in Orosi, Costa Rica. We spent 5 great days with KP & Taylor. They are crossing to Panama much earlier then us but we are hoping to see them again in South America.

We spent 2 days wild camping in Playa Bochinche with KP & Taylor (Running From Monday), scarlet macaws, monkeys and one big alligator checking us out from the ocean.
