Drove a friend's Tacoma

Man that thing was def. different than my Dakota. Very stiff suspension, which isn't a bad thing, it's a Pre-runner style. It was very comfortable, I still like the seating position in those trucks. I like the interior but question the aesthetics of the stereo layout but that isn't important. It turned on a dime and felt very light and agile compared to my truck.

He has the TRD SR5 with the hood scoop, very nice indeed.

Next truck might have to be that.

Turned on a dime? Must have been a regular cab, then. My extended cab has the turning radius of an aircraft carrier. :D It's the only thing that's gotten me into trouble off-road. Tried to take a sharp curve on Red Cone and got hung up with 1 wheel from each axle off the ground. With open diffs on both ends I was stuck. The only good thing was that I was facing slightly uphill so by letting off the brake I was able to roll the truck back until I got some traction.

Trust me, compared to my Dakota the thing turned with ease and in a very smaller radius than my truck. The truck I drove was an 07 Double Cab.

You said it was a pre-runner though? So 2wd? I would imagine that would make for a tigher turning radius just because you don't have to worry about the CV joints on the front axles.

My 05 turns way better than my 02, both had the extended cab. The turning radius and power being the biggest perks over the older ones IMO.

I always wondered what happened to you back there. There were some tight spots on that trail.
